Membership
How much is a Court Theory membership?
Court Theory offers three levels of membership, including a free tier. Monthly and yearly payment options are available. Check out our sign up page to learn about options and membership benefits.
How do I sign into my account?
Find the “Sign In” link in the menu area and you’ll be prompted to enter your email address to sign in.
Why am I not being asked for a password?
Court Theory uses email verification to log in instead of a password. That helps us keep subscribers and Court Theory more secure. You may be asked to sign in from time to time to make sure nobody else has access to your account.
I’m a subscriber. Why can’t I access an article?
First, make sure you are signed in. If you’ve signed in and are still unable to access an article, check to see if it’s available for your membership tier. You can upgrade your membership at any time by signing in and upgrading your subscription.
Why can’t I comment on an article?
Commenting is a feature for Court Theory Plus and Court Theory Premium members only. If you have subscribed to one of those tiers and commenting still isn’t working, please contact us.
Why am I being asked to sign in so much?
As a precautionary measure, we will ask you to sign in on occasion. But other factors may require it, such as using private or incognito browsers, changing devices, or signing out of your account.
How do I know what subscription tier I’m on?
You can view your subscription details by signing in and going to your account page by clicking the account icon in the lower right corner. You’ll be able to see your membership information from there.
How do I upgrade my subscription?
You can upgrade your subscription by signing in and going to the account page by clicking the account icon in the lower right corner. Find your tier, click “Change,” and you’ll be presented with the option to upgrade.
How do I cancel my membership?
We’ll be sad to see you go, but we realize sometimes good things come to an end. Simply sign in and go to the account page by clicking on the account icon in the lower right corner. Find your tier, click “Change,” and you’ll be presented with the option to cancel your membership.
At this time, refunds are not available for Court Theory memberships.
Payment
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, as well as Google Pay and Apple Pay.
I’m a Court Theory Plus member, but I want to upgrade my membership to Premium. How much will I be charged?
You’ll be pro-rated for the difference between your new subscription and how much is left on your previous one.
How do I update or change my payment method?
You can update your payment method by signing in and going to your account by clicking on the account icon in the lower right corner. Click “Update” under Billing Info and make the necessary changes.
